CYCLE THREE COURSE OFFERINGS

Cycle 3 comprises the advanced courses in Theological and Pastoral studies of the seminary’s academic programme.  In this cycle, courses in Philosophy and in Religious Studies are elective courses.  Successful completion of this cycle qualifies those students who are duly registered for the award of the Licentiate in Theology or the B.A.(Theology), in accordance with the regulations set out in the relevant UWI brochure.  Subjects which are added to those already introduced in Cycle 2 include: Canon Law (cf. RF no.79); Christian Education (or Catechetics) - for children and adults (cf. Optatam Totius no.19); and the Theory and Practice of Ecumenism (cf. Revised Ecumenical Directory (1993) no.79).

(b) All courses in this cycle are 3-credit courses, except otherwise indicated.  Each student normally registers for 15 credits each semester but, as in the case of Cycle 2 courses (see 10(c) above), permission may be granted to take additional credits, up to a maximum of 20 credits per semester.

(c) The titles of the courses offered in Cycle 3 are listed below in groups of five or six as they are typically taught.
